Howard talks about making your business explode with success like 4th of July fireworks.
It’s the 4th of July!
For many people that means a day off but I’m not so sure how many people today really know the significance of Independence Day here in the United States.
Let’s pause for a few minutes to think about the significance of July 4th, Independence Day, for you and your business.
As a CEO, president or business owner managing and operating a business you have the ability, the luxury and the gift of not having a job. Instead, you are leading a company. Being independent. Being able to go and do what you want to do, in your own way. To visualize your business philosophy, strategize about the growth of your company and motivate your employees to success.
There’s something to say about that opportunity and achievement.
You don’t have to:
- go to work every day, 8 to 5.
- take a lunch break at the same time every day
- have someone tell you what to do
- do the same thing every day for 30-40 years
Every day is exciting when you run a business.
Granted, some days are better than others. Some days have more challenges. Some days can even be quite difficult.
But when you overcome those challenges, isn’t there is a feeling of accomplishment?
When you walk in the office door in the morning or at the end of the day, when perhaps no one else is in the office except you, look around, say to yourself: “I did this.”
Yes, you had help. A lot of people contributed along the way with many different aspects of your business.
But you are individually blessed with knowledge, intelligence and ability.
You have will – drive – determination. Which is what can bring you to that moment when you can look around and say: “I did this.”
Think about how wonderful this country, the United States, is.
Yes, we have problems as a nation. Serious problems that need addressed with a common sense approach.
Yet despite the problems facing the United States, you can still lead a very good life and operate a successful and profitable business.
The question to ask yourself during these days of July – and especially on the 4th of July – is:
Well… Does it?
Be honest with yourself.
Isn’t it time to sit back and reflect on the last six months of business?
Have you gotten what you wanted out of your business?
Are your business goals on track?
How is your business plan working for you?
How effective is the prospecting for new business at your company?
What about sales?
Are the marketing materials up-to-date?
Have you looked at the P&L statement lately?
How much profit are you making?
MAKE THE SECOND HALF OF THE BUSINESS YEAR EXPLODE WITH SUCCESS!
The way to have that happen is for YOU to MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Everything is out there for you.
Why? Because YOU are a business person.
On July 4th, have a hot dog or a hamburger. Have some potato salad or macaroni salad. Corn on the cob. Have some cherry or blueberry pie. Enjoy yourself and have a good time!
When you see the fireworks exploding and see all that magnificence in the night sky, think about how magnificent your business growth is going to be in the next six months.
Have a happy and safe 4th of July holiday!
To your success!
