One VERY important word for CEOs, presidents and business owners is: Why?
What a powerful business tool this three letter word can be. As you are go through your business day there are times when you may accept things the way they are. Even saying to yourself: This is the way we have always done it. This is the way we will probably always do it.
But when you start to ask: Why? … Really probing and analyzing everything that should be considered you will begin to improve your business operations beyond expectations.
All because of one word: Why?
As a CEO, president or business owner, you may find yourself asking such questions as:
- hasn’t the company business plan been updated?
- are sales down?
- are profit margins down?
- is the company’s top salesperson suddenly not meeting monthly goals?
I am certain you can quickly create questions of your own regarding business problems and business issues currently at your company.
As you can see from the examples listed, if you start to ask: Why? … It’s the first step to getting the answers you need for your business for MORE success and MORE profit. You’ll experience less stress when leading your company.
If you don’t ask: Why? … Then you may not even realize there is a problem or a way to do something better or more efficiently in your business.
Once you define the business problem by asking the right questions you can then resolve whatever issues exist in your company.
Sit down and think about what questions you need to ask to improve your business.
Remember: Start with the word: Why?
Don’t stop with just one question. Keep asking questions till you get your business answers you are comfortable with.
Then: Be in ACTION! Make it HAPPEN!
To your success!
