“Change” In Your Business In 2009
I was reading the Friday Memos of the Independent Street blog on the Wall Street Journal when these business thoughts about “change” in your business surfaced and quickly realized they should be shared with all CEOs, company presidents and business owners.
It is imperative to start thinking about 2009. After all, you are already one full week into the new business year.
The year 2009 will be like no other year that business people have seen.
It will be separated into two groups of business people – those businesses that survive and those businesses that don’t survive. Which will you be?
In our current political climate, the word “change” has become part of the consciousness of the country. Most people have no idea what’s going to be changed or if the change is for better or for worse.
But “change” is an excellent word you should use for 2009 in your business. If you want your business to survive the current harsh, volatile economic environment you must make an immediate resolution to “change” what’s not working in your business. You simply don’t have the luxury of time to wait until the second or third quarter of the year to analyze and to make those necessary changes in your business because time will swallow up all that you have worked for unless you are in action.
Take steps now to safeguard the longevity of your business. Examine your business from top to bottom. Resolve that you will make positive, productive, measureable changes, both large and small, that will not only help your business to survive but also to prosper.
