We all know things have changed in business since the recession and they don’t seem to be going back to where they once were.  Although this seems like a very simple statement you need to think it through, concentrate on it and make it happen.  So here goes:  You can’t just show up for work.  You can’t just manage your business and your employees the way you use to.  You need to be engaged in your business.  You need to be engaged in every aspect of your business.  Not just go through the motions.  If you aren’t engaged in your business, your competition is going to take your share of the marketplace. 

For every business person, being engaged in the business will mean different things based upon your individual business experiences. Think about what I’m talking about.  Think about it for several days.  Then get engaged in your business.  You can’t just sit back and wait for the business to come to you.
