It’s been my observation that nothing really changes.  If you look at people in different stages of their life, they often do things that their parents did and other people have done for generations.  There seems to be a formula for life.  If you think about it, you and I have probably followed the same formula.  Get born.  Go through childhood.  The rebellious teenage years.  Wanting a family.  Buying property.  Working to feed and clothe yourself and the family.  Thinking about the day you won’t work any more and how you will provide for that.  You can fill in the blanks with anything I may have missed.  But the overall process of life is true and continuous. Only technology changes through the ages.  People are essentially the same as they have always been.

That also is true for business people.  Just as life has a pattern so does business.  There is a rhythm to business just like with music.  It has a beat.  Or one might say you could compare business to a theatrical production.  There’s the overture, act 1, act 2 and act 3.  Then the finale.

Since business, just like life, follows a pattern if you are not being the success you want to be…  If you are not on a winning streak…  Find yourself a successful business person who has mastered the art of business and ask to lend you a hand with some advice as to how to get a winning hand in business.  As long as you are not competing for the same dollar or marketplace, most successful business people are more than happy to share their experience with another business person.  All business people, including myself, need someone who can influence our thought process towards the action necessary for real business success.
