Don’t Stop Doing Business Because Of The News Headlines
Wall Street. Hurricanes. Presidential election campaign. Gas prices. Corporate earnings and layoffs. All current news headlines.
As the famous actress, Bette Davis, said in the film, All About Eve, “Fasten your seat belts. It’s going to be a bumpy night.”
You may feel this way about your business lately.
But don’t stop doing business.
Even though the economy seems rocky there is still business being done every single day. If you go into a state of fear and anxiety, you may miss the opportunity all this presents. There is a silver lining here: For business people to re-evaluate everything they are doing. Re-examine their products and marketplace. Get rid of all that is unproductive in the company. And… prepare yourself for the inevitable upturn in business.
Even though the upturn may be in the distant future, it will happen. Lead your employees with a positive mental attitude. Do not accept defeat. The future is yours. True business people will improve their business operations, increase their sales efforts and survive. Coming out of this economic downturn they will be stronger, more resilient and more profitable.
Your other option is to buy the headlines, put your head in the sand, and look for the doom and gloom and disaster. And have the inevitable happen.
This is the time for true business leaders and a test of your business ability. Every minute of the day there are business opportunities out there.
How will you rethink your business and make it happen?
